Food, eating and a healthy lifestyle are currently my most used words. It’s so important to me to look healthy and treat myself right that when we have to jot down the grocery list at home we always end up forgetting to buy some snacks for Friday dinners with friends.
When I wake up, the first thing my body craves is a big glass of water and sometimes black tea or coffee. I tend to wake up quite early as I love having productive days so after having some fruit I get back to work wherever I left it the day before.
Snacks are not really my thing but if I find myself a bit picky I just chop some fruit such as apple, banana or some vegetables like carrots or cucumber and mix them with some hummus.
When it comes to lunch it doesn’t matter if we are having a Sunday roast; salads are a must have on our table! Lettuce, tomatoes, sweet corn, a bit of tuna fish, cucumber, avocado, chia seeds, sesame, legumes…I do love a good salad! My favourite food at the moment is obviously legume salads. I’ve been trying to improve my cooking skills since I nearly exterminate my family after boiling some rice. Lentils or beans are always a good way to add protein to your meal.
In the afternoon I always have some coffee with my mum after my 30 minutes nap time as well as some natural fruit juice. Melon, watermelon, banana & non-dairy milk/soya milk and orange juice are my top choices.
Finally, dinnertime comes along with some leftover salad and if there isn’t it’s my time to shine! Something I’m good at is vegetable casseroles or quinoa salads. I’m not at my best when heat is needed so pasta, rice or boiled vegetables are off of the table: just roasted food or salads my friend! To finish my day, I have a glass of soya milk or an apple and another big glass of water right before going to bed.
