My tan and my holiday days are over! As it was expected, this has been the summer of my life. I spent most of my summer traveling (a month) along with my family as well as by myself. I stayed for a week in Barcelona, another one in Teruel and then I did The Way of St. James as promised!
Barcelona is such a beautiful city that you need more than 10 trips to get to know well the city itself. As my stay was for a week I made the most of my time and I visited two of the most interesting museums I've ever been to and attended a beautiful exhibition about Saint Teresa of Jesus in the heart of Catalunya, its National Library.
The first museum I visited was CaixaForum. For only €4 ( I didn't have a Caixa bank account) I got to spend more than 5 hours admiring, picturing and analyzing two of the most intense expositions I have ever witnessed. The first one, Three Narratives: Language, showed the history of recent and modern art. Then, as a photography nerd, I had the opportunity to discover a project called 19' FOTOPRES :"la Caixa" which reflect the reality of our different worlds.
My second stop was the CCCB, a beautiful and modern museum which was exhibiting a comparison between Medellín and Barcelona. It was sensational! There are so many differences and equalities in both cities that sometimes you think the information given is a big old joke! This is definitely another way to tell us about the need of a change.
Last but not least, there was also time for a little stroll around Las Ramblas and Las Arenas Shopping Center. I have no words, the Sephora and Urban Outfitters was so big I got lost inside of both buildings! I was definitely too excited and maybe that was reason I didn't really buy anything!
