Over the last couple of years I was the coffee girl. No, I did not work as a coffee delivery woman but I did drink it all myself. Sometimes I was so hyper that my dad had to take me for a long run before sitting down all afternoons to study; it was becoming an addiction as well as a fear!
I feel there must be a reason when you decide to drink so much coffee, if not then is time to search its pros and cons. Luckily, after I took control over my "coffee addiction" I decided to collect a few facts that made me realize "everything is good in moderation" or as Oscar Wilde said "Everything in moderation, including moderation".
Antioxidants. It's true what they said! Coffee protects our cells and that's GREAT NEWS!
Energy. Am I the only one that enjoys best the morning coffee? Our alertness, attentiveness and wakefulness improves just because of coffee.
Just so you know. According to some studies, those who drink more coffee at midlife are significantly less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease later in life! (Please, a taxi to Starbucks!)
Oh my sleepless nights! It is true that coffee can keep you awake for many hours and that's not very fun when you've got two exams to take the day after the disaster happens.
Cholesterol. I didn't really know this but, apparently unfiltered coffee is a massive source of cholesterol-raising.
Blood pressure. It's not something to be worried about 24/7 but if its consumption is not moderated, coffee can massively improve your blood pressure.
Are you a coffee addict? Don't be scared! You just need to be aware of the key: QUALITY & QUANTITY.
