I can't still believe I've been away from this happy place almost over a month. January has been pretty hectic for me and I haven't been able to do everything I would have wanted to as soon as I was done with my UNI finals. A few weeks ago, I talked over how much I desired to fully own my blog and I think after my first "UNI exam period experience" I now know what to do and avoid when I get busy with revising and creating content for this blog.
Organisation is a topic everybody seems to be interested in so I thought it would be interesting to share my experiences, how I stay organized, plan exciting things for TWDD and do UNI and blogging altogether. I do like to complete every task I plan on doing so it is important for me to have a very strict schedule from Monday to Friday in order to make the most of time.
I really like having gadgets which help me organize my time. I usually carry around my personal diary when I've got UNI lectures and seminars or when I spend the most of my day at the library to get work done. Finals make me panic a little bit so I tend to schedule a month ahead this two-weeks-period. I'm currently using a planning pad I bought a few years ago and that I haven't been able to finish. It's got little boxes with enough space to write inside of them and inspirational quotes which encourage me when I'm feeling lazy or a bit down.
I try to attend as many lectures I can and take notes as well so it's easier for me to study in regards to my finals. I jot down everything my professors say and then when I get home I go through all of my notes before rewriting them on a different piece of paper and making big and appealing outlines. I love drawing little signs so I don't forget about important topics with felt-tip pens and sparkly pens. I also have post-its all over my notes to indicate additional things or examples which could be used to explain a certain subject. My iPad also helps a lot when my laptop feels too heavy to carry around UNI. My main planning App is Apple Calendar and it's great to have a bigger screen to check out my chores and work for the day. However, what I love the most about taking my iPad to the library with me is that I can save in there all my readings and the books I need for revision.
Lastly, for my blogging and UNI coursework, papers and essays I like to have different folders to help me find whatever I need when I'm working from my computer. I have only three folders on my desktop as I like to keep it clean: a UNI coursework+notes folder, a blogging and guest posting related folder and a miscellany folder where I keep random pictures or documents. The last thing I've loved using during my revision period is the Flat Tomato App. With it you can schedule your studying, revising and working time with little coffee/ tea breaks every 20-30 minutes. I really recommend it if you're trying to keep up a steady and organized schedule.
How do you stay organized? Are you a messy person or a super organized one?
