The worst thing about writing about my July favourites is that it actually means the month is over and I've only have left four weeks of summer. How sad is that? 😫 . Anyways, I hope you're well friends. I am very well indeed. I went on holidays with my friends a couple of weeks ago and it was freaking amazing. We spent a week in the south coast of Tenerife (Well, that sounds fancy! 💁🏼 ) sunbathing, going out and we even attended a festival.
As you're reading this I would probably be away (again) on my family holiday. This one is probably the longest holiday I've been to. We're doing a month vacation around Spain, as you do. Very exciting yes. I've been pretty busy packing and unpacking bags but that doesn't mean I haven't had time to try out new products 😏 .
I got this foundation a year ago (I think) and I really wasn't that sure about it and now I know it was because I didn't have a tan. Guys, I'm not that tanned now but I've been loving this product so much! It doesn't look like I've got foundation on, its got SPF15 plus you can still appreciate a little bit of my tan! I haven't read many reviews of this product but it is really worth the money.
I've raved about this foundation so much you don't even need another post about MAC and their almighty bases. I haven't tried this foundation whilst on the beach or the pool but it really looks waterproof. I tend to use as much as I can the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation but I had to come back to this one when I ran out of the other one and I've completely fallen in love with this Mac one. I was planning on wearing the NARS foundation to the festival we went to while on holidays but I actually ended up going with this one on. Best decision ever. It didn't rain but we sweat a lot. I mean, waterproof.
I think I got this concealer six months ago and I literally hadn't touched it until a few weeks ago. The shade I got is the darkest one because the aim was to use it as a bronzer (I suppose?). Anyways, as it was very dark and I couldn't remember what I bought it for, I've ended up using it as a bronzer + contouring stick. I thought it was going to be shit (soz 😶 ) but it actually isn't. This was quite impressive! It is a stick concealer. I mean, you can never go wrong with those.
I think this is the oldest Chanel eyeshadow palette I own. I don't really use it anymore but I do come back to it every once in a while. July has been that time. My favourite shade is the gold one even though I only use it on my lower lash line.
Did you read that part where I said that you can never go wrong with stick concealer? It's true. I've had two of these sticks! I don't know why I never use them in winter but I sure do in summer. I apply it under my eyes (wow, really? Tell me more 😌 ). I don't really know what to say about this product. I just love it.
It's all about Sleek MakeUp this month guys. I've been living in this lip cream all month. It's very comfy and it never comes off. Well, it does. With makeup remover. I haven't tried any other shades but I sure love this one. Sleek products aren't that expensive and are really worth the hype.
I'm a sunglasses lover and I can't live without them regardless of the weather/season. You may have seen pictures of these glasses around the blog or my Instagram feed. I got them a year ago and I haven't stopped wearing them ever since I bought them.
I'm not a huge fan of tanning gels myself but this product is unbelievable. The thing about this gel is that it works as a sun cream and a tanning lotion at the same time. Without leaving your skin orange you look a bit tanner whilst sunbathing. It's gold.
In my latest blog post I talked about some earrings I got a few months back during the winter sales. They look kind of summery so I decided to wear them now. I'm in love with triangular ones. I mean, I bought a package of five pairs of earrings just to have those 😙
Guys I've been thinking about something for a really long time. I knew this was going to be a hectic summer because I'm travelling more than I planned on, which I'm very grateful. A couple of weeks ago I celebrated my first year anniversary of being THINGS WE DIDN'T DO owner and editor. This first year has been a blast. Seriously, at first it was quite an adventure to balance UNI and Blogging at the same time but I've loved every single day of it. I'm going away for a month on a big holiday which means I'm going to be spending more time on my family and friends, who deserve that a lot, and I'm cutting down my work hours. I'll still be replying to emails, comments, etc. so don't you worry guys. Exciting things are coming up and I can't wait to share it with you. Taking a break from blogging it's going to be a bit hard because I've got my mind set on my little internet space but I promise September is going to be filled with new ideas and better posts. See you soon!
