Hello everybody. I'm back, my month travels have sadly come to an end. And they were incredible, thank you very much for your attention. It feels quite rare to come back to weekly blogging after a month of relaxing, doing sport and reading non stop. I'm a new woman 👸🏼
I wasn't quite sure at all about the blogging break but now I feel like it was the best decision I've taken. I was not feeling very inspired and I was very busy as well so this month holiday has been a blessing. Now I'm ready to start writing again. And why not make my comeback with a monthly favourites post? This month I've been to lots of places around Spain and I have experienced new things which have been a huge discovery.

I'm a Clinique lover, specially when it comes to skincare. In fact, my whole skincare routine consists of Clinique products. I discovered this product two months ago (I think that's when it came out 😂) and I've hardly stopped using it. If you're up to date on my Instagram account you may have noticed that this year I've finished The Way of St. James and that me and my family safely arrived to Santiago de Compostela. Well, this product has been a blessing during the week we spent hiking. It has a really light consistency and it really works wonders on my skin.
Madrid was one of the places we went to during my month trip around Spain. I'm pretty much in love with that city but I have to confess the best thing about it were the shops. OH. We were the ultimate tourists around Madrid and we went to lots of expositions in such a short time but I reckon one of the best experiences was shopping in Gran Vía. I couldn't stop buying things guys. Makeup wise, NYX was the best beauty store we went into. The shop assistants were very nice to us and I fell in love with a suede cream lipstick. It's in a nudy brown shade that surprisingly doesn't come off.
I've been using this eyeliner for about nine months now and it's my favourite one so far. L'Oreal products are always a good choice and this liner is completely worth its price. It stays puts and it's also very comfortable to wear, I've even survived to hours of library with this super liner on. I'm a very picky person when it comes to eyeliner and during this year's holidays it has been a blessing to have with me.
I bought this eyeliner along with my Suede Cream Lipstick and at first I wasn't so sure about it. I have read a little something about these liners and people were generally quite happy with them so I thought, why not? The colour I chose is Vivid Blossom also known as a Pastel Lavender and it's so pretty guys! The same day I made this purchase I also got a platinum rose gold midi skirt which goes incredible well with the NYX eyeliner. The brush it comes with is really good and the product itself is very good quality.

Before going away on my big holiday I decided to invest in a pair of sandals as I didn't have ones I really liked and was comfortable with. These sandals were quite pricey but totally worth it. I've been wearing them non stop since I got them back in July. I've even climbed rocks with them, just saying. Excellent quality, very comfortable and they matched pretty much all outfits I brought with me on holidays.
Basically, I bought this dress pretty unsure about it. I went shopping with some friends and they convinced me about buying it. Best decision ever made. I literally can't stop wearing it. It matches my new sandals and my Stan Smiths, what else? I discovered how comfy it was by wearing it on a big city visit (Madrid) and it was boiling hot (fyi 👍🏻 ). I think the best thing about it is the price, it was about £8.
A couple of months ago I went on a little vacation with my friends and we attended a festival. Well, this blouse was the star of the evening. I'm so so in love with it. I've found ways to combine it with dungarees, shorts, skirts and jeans. It's the most usable shirt I've owned in a really long time. The only con of this item is that it is very see through, so if you're not a fan of showing a little skin it may be a problem.
These were actually a Christmas present but I've never talked about them in here. I'm so glad I got this pair of shoes. I think I've worn them the most on holidays and they have been a blessing to have with when in Madrid and Barcelona, I walked thousands of miles in there 😫

It's become a tradition to include my recent reads in my monthly favourites post. This is possible one of the longest books I've ever read in my entire life. It's actually a thousand and something pages long. And I read it in about two weeks. I mean, it was pretty much amazing. Some say is quite a hard book to digest in one read and I have to agree with it. Yanagihara is an incredible writer and A Little Life was shortlisted for the 2015 Man Booker Prize. The subject and concept of the book itself is very intense and difficult but despite the latest it's a bestseller, which is quite shocking for me. A Little Life is about the livings of four friends who have different perspectives of life and who have suffered various problems as they grow. There's Malcolm, an architect, JB, a painter, Willem, an actor and Jude, a lawyer. The four of them met in college and the book narrates their stories in the course of eighteen months. Even though the book is about the four friends, Hanya Yanagihara seems to have a devoted love for Willem and Jude as she has written about them and their friendship over half of the book. Sometimes I felt like the author wanted for you to cry along with the characters and there're many parts of this book which are quite hard to get over with but apart from the latest, I really enjoyed this book. I've read other stories in August but I haven't enjoyed reading them as much as I did with A Little Life.
