I love shopping. It's one of my pleasures in life and I'm not ashamed to tell you so. But something I don't really like experiencing are bad beauty products. Because I spend money on things (and sometimes quite a lot of money) I try to choose the best I can in order to not feel disappointed. Sometimes I even feel robbed when some products don't work the way they should.
After this pointless ramble, I feel like I should talk about all these empties I've been collecting for months. The aim of this post is to express my opinion on products I've bought with my own money so if you feel like what I'm saying is not true, don't leave offensive comments. It's okay to have different opinions 😌
This is quite a long post so I suggest you grab a cuppa, get comfy and...START SCROLLING!
RIMMEL LONDON WAKE ME UP CONCEALER
Rimmel London is one of my favourite drugstore brands and their products are really worth the money. Even though I'm not quite the fan of their lipsticks, bases and concealers are their thing. I don't exactly know why the Wake me up range isn't available in all stores in Spain so I ordered online this one along with the foundation. I'm very picky with concealers but this one has definitely made the cut. The foundation and concealer come both in really dark shades so I suggest getting Ivory instead of Beige as I've got the latest and I can only use it when I've got a bit of tan.
ESSENCE EASY 2 USE EYELINER PEN
This is probably my biggest disappointment of this blog post. I still can't believe I paid for this piece of s***. Guys, you know how much I love my Essence products, this is unbelievable! I've been raving about these products since I started talking about beauty in my weekly posts. I bought this pen a couple of months ago when I run out of my favourite eyeliner. I was not expecting this. The first thing you look into for an eyeliner is precision and, what the heck is this? Really, it smudges all over the place when I use it. It's a flop for this one.
MAKEUP FOREVER STEP 1 SMOOTHING PRIMER
This product has lasted me years guys. I mean, I can't really complain about it, right? Makeup forever products are quite pricey but completely worth it. They're very good quality and they really last for a long time. I haven't used any other primer apart from this one. Just saying.
NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION
What can I tell you about this foundation that you don't already know? I mean, I've been raving about this product for almost a year now. I got my first bottle of the NARS Sheer Glow on my 18th birthday and I haven't stopped using it ever since. It's not the highest coverage foundation to be honest but it really covers most of my blemishes so it works for me. The ones I can't cover, the Rimmel London Wake me up concealer will do. Actually, I don't think this foundation is expensive at all because it lasts almost a year. The only con I see is that you do have to pay for the pump if you haven't got one but I mean...it's not that much to be honest.
GIVENCHY LE ROUGE LIPSTICK
I've tried three shades of this lipstick collection and all I have to say are good things. The first shade I tried was sent to me (Nº 103 BRUN CRÉATEUR) and the second one I bought it (Nº 102 BEIGE PLUME). The third one was a lovely present for my prom, which I still use (Nº 105 BRUN VINTAGE). I absolutely loved Nº 103 and when I run out of it I went into the store to repurchase it but I got confused and instead of buying the correct shade I ended up buying Nº 102, which is fine because I really like it too but Nº 103 is Nº103. It's flawless guys.
L'OREAL PARIS SUPER LINER SO COUTURE
Please, meet my favourite eyeliner. I used to believe in pencil liners but since I discovered this product I've never gone back to them. They're very easy to use, don't smudge all over my crease and look more smart that eye pencils. Running out of this product was the main reason that took me to my local drugstore and made me purchase that hideous Essence eyeliner. However, I highly recommend using this one nor the other L'Oreal eyeliners. I don't really know what's happened to them but their latest launch was a BALL POINT EYELINER. Who even creates a ball point eyeliner? Where's the precision gone?!
CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE EXTENDED THIRST RELIEF
I talked about this moisturiser in my August Favourites and I will talk about it again because I can't stop recommending it. It is incredible. My skin has never been this good. I really really suggest using this product along with drinking lots of water and doing face masks at least once a week. Really, hear me out.
ESSENCE LONGLASTING LIPLINER
I'm feeling pretty bad about the stunt I pulled with the Essence eyeliner so there you go, some lipliners. These are the best drugstore lipliners I have found. They're indeed very longlasting and they blend really well on my lips. There you go, a ten.
MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA
My love for this mascara is endless as you could have appreciate in my FINDING THE PERFECT MASCARA post.
GIVENCHY NOIR COUTURE MASCARA
This was the first mascara I bought. Nowadays, I don't use it as much I did back then but when I do I really love wearing it. It's super comfy and easy to apply. Mine is a bit dried now so I barely use it anymore, however it's really helpful when I try to lengthen my lashes.
GIVENCHY MATISSIME COMPACT FOUNDATION
There's a bit of a Givenchy theme going on in this blog post. I did not do that on purpose but I do really love their products. It's actually one of the more expensive beauty brands I know but their stuff it's amazing. Not sure if all their collection is worth its price but Givenchy foundations and lipsticks are THE dream. The only powder foundation I've been capable of using is this one. Just saying. Not even MAC's.
