It’s been ages since I last posted a haul. And by ages I mean more than a year (you can check out my latest haul in here). And the thing is that I do spend quite an amount of money on makeup, so there’s no excuse. And here I am, a year later sharing a few purchases of mine.
To be honest, I’m always on the look out for something new that I’ve never tried but I usually (if not always) end up going back to the same products and I think it’s because when I find something that I really like I’m scared of changing up products and for those to make my skin break. I’ve got very sensitive skin so I have to be careful.
In this latest haul I tried to buy different things. I wanted to try new makeup releases or products I’d previously seen around some other blogs. And I think I’ve completely succeed! The only product I re – purchased is a skincare one.
The first product I bought was the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30. I was looking for something light to cover a few of my blemishes but I knew for sure that a foundation was not what I was looking for. So after watching a few videos of the lovely Tanya Burr I decided I should give this tinted moisturizer a go. And what a great idea! From the moment I tried it on I fell in love with it! It’s got coverage (which is very important) but it’s not too thick. I mean, the perfect combo.
Then, it was also a no brainer decision to get the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. A product used by many bloggers and with great reviews (I did mine too!). I was in awe with the concealer and I think I’m still are. Read my review of the product and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
NYX Cosmetics was probably the most wanted brand in Tenerife until a couple of weeks ago. They opened their only store in Tenerife a few days ago and I think half of the island queued in order to buy some lippies and get a free makeup bag. If you’re wondering, no. I did not queue. After the hype died down, I went in there and got myself a few things.
First, I got a new eyebrow pencil. If you’re a frequent reader around here, you’ll know how much I love my MAC Eyebrow Pencil. Well, in NYX I found a dupe for only €12.90. Yes, you read it right. And it’s a 3 in 1 pencil! The shade matches perfectly my eyebrows and it’s very easy to apply!
It felt a bit risky when I decided to get myself a coppery orange lipstick, but what a great decision! I am in love with this lipstick. It’s the best thing ever and finally I don’t always have to fill my lips in a lip liner.
Finally, a lip liner had to be bought. Believe it or not, I didn’t own a red lip liner until a few weeks ago. So I got one because I recently bought some dresses that I could perfectly pull off with red lips.
This Rimmel London Mascara is a great product I got from my local drugstore ages ago. And it’s da bomb. If you’ve got long lashes (unlike me), it’s the perfect product for you! If not (which is the case), you should combine it with another one and it’ll make your lashes look incredible!
This is the skincare product I mentioned at the beginning of this post. This Clinique gel cream is one of my favourite moisturizers, especially in summer. It’s very light and fresh and it doesn’t feel sticky when it’s on! I also explained why it's one of my favourite summer skincare products in this post!
The KIKO MILANO Summer 2.0 Baked Bronzer is one of my favourite products ever. Feel free to read my review of it if you want to know how I really feel about it!
Finally, and by completely surprise, I bought the Givenchy Noir Interdit mascara as well. I was looking around some products but it was not my intention to purchase anything (I swear) but I tried on this mascara and I knew I have to get it. I mean, it was half the price! I still can believe I got a Givenchy mascara for €26.35! I think this is the coolest mascara I've ever bought, you can move the wand up and down to apply product in all of your lashes!
Have you done a big makeup shop recently? Please feel free to leave a comment and share your favourite products with me! I'll see you in September with new content and a Summer 2017 post!
